Description

The Helix Galaxy is located in a distance of about 42 million light years, one of the closest and brightest polar ring galaxies. The polar ring seems to be a rather old and stable structure. Thanks to @Stephan Linhart for pointing me to this interesting target with his recent, much better rendition: https://astrob.in/pc2qid/C/. This is a first "quick shot", squeezed in after M31 had set. Certainly worth gathering more data in the future.
